2) Uhuru Park: Located on Ngong Road near Moi Avenue, this park was named after Jomo Kenyatta, the first president of Kenya. It is one of the largest parks in Nairobi and features an amphitheater, dancing fountain, flower garden and a café serving traditional Kenyan dishes alongside Western cuisine.  

3) David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust:  Named after the famous naturalist David Sheldrick, this sanctuary is located in Nairobi National Park and home to elephants that have been orphaned or injured. Visitors can learn about these majestic creatures through tours of the facility as well as enjoy a picnic lunch with an amazing view!

4) Giraffe Centre:  If you're a big fan of giraffes then this place is for you! The Giraffe Centre, located in Langata on the outskirts of Nairobi National Park, was established to breed and protect these wonderful animals and has since become one of Kenya's most popular tourist attractions. 

5) Karura Forest:  A few minutes from the city center, this forest is a great alternative to Nairobi National Park. It features hiking trails as well as some of Kenya's last remaining patches of indigenous coastal forests and provides visitors with an opportunity for bird watching. 

6) Karen Blixen Museum:   Known as Out of Africa, the house and farm where Karen Blixen - a Danish writer best known for her novel "Out of Africa" – lived and wrote was turned into a museum in 1979. It is now one of Nairobi's most iconic landmarks and attracts hundreds of visitors every day! 

7) Bomas of Kenya:   If you are a fan of traditional Kenyan music, dance and food then Bomas of Kenya is the place for you! Located in Langata, this cultural center hosts performances every evening by local artists. 

8) Kenyatta International Conference Centre:    This iconic conference center was built during the 1970s and is now one of Kenya's most important landmarks. It features a large exhibition hall, theater and meeting rooms as well as an outdoor amphitheater for live performances!

9) National Archives:    The National Archives of Kenya is home to a wide range of documents from the colonial era through present day. It showcases an incredible collection of art, photographs and other records that have been preserved for future generations as well as provides opportunities for research and studies!

10) Railway Museum:    Where else can you find an old steam engine than in Nairobi? The Railway Museum features a collection of locomotives, carriages and other equipment used for transport dating back to the colonial era. It's one museum that is not to be missed!
